The department of computing science offers two study programme:- Computing Science / Informatics; ends with the "Diplom" degree; this is a traditional computer science study programme
- Bachelor of Science; ends with the "BSc" degree
According to the formal rules (in
German) there are
sub-specialities:
- Embedded Systems and Microrobotics
- Environmental Informatics
- Business Information Systems
Starting autumn 2003 two MSc-courses will be offered:

- MSc in general Computing Science
- MSc Embedded Systems and Microrobotics
